My paternal grandfather was in Vimy and Ypres. My father was in the Scheldt and Normandy. My maternal grandfather was in Sarajevo and my mother was in the Luftwaffe, fleeing the Soviets in Prague and Dresden in that long arduous escape to the Allied front. She will be 86 at the end of this month.

In Memoriam
