Let By-gones Be By-gones

My recent birthday fling brought back a few memories of some 30 years ago. The superficial peer-worshiping attitudes and their grand expectations of people like me. Sure, I was the best in my field but for quite different reasons, like most underdogs of the military community, hoping one day to reconnect with all that was lost in the political no-zone. All that braggery and posturing they called camaraderie, proved little more than a bad hangover. Always trying to feed me what I couldn’t eat, and all their lack of communication skills without massive amounts of alcohol. Always ruining every effort I tried to decently celebrate. They didn’t think that mindless hierarchy would ever come to an end, and when it did, they just couldn’t get over it. It was hell trying to lose that lot amid my father’s desperation to sustain it, and when he died, they actually thought I should carry on that legacy, as if I should have nothing better to do. After all these years of being coerced into the surrogacy of a brain damaged mother, I wasn’t about to take over that role either...and that is where the story ended, once and for all, thank fuck.

The Ratio of Gobshite to Fuckwit

As all things deem to escalate in the causality curve, this year is undoubtedly the epitome. Since Fasching the Corona virus has taken the gusto out of everything, thanks to the elitist plonkers and their holidays in Bergamo and the Italian Alps ski resorts. I’ve been trying to make ends meet by working for the neighbourhood help services until all the bus service in my locale got canned. Thankfully, some nice ladies took pity on me and gave me a fabulous bicycle to do my rounds, which is certainly improving my health. Fortunately our little municipality has been kept clear of this disease, but people are shit scared. Nobody wants to deliver groceries to the needy. At least little shops and the border is opening up again to the Alsace, but us locals are leery just the same, thanks to some fools who took part in some big evangelical gathering in Mulhouse without the necessary precautions.

Susan’s slow suicide through alcohol and pills had finally landed her in the funeral home while her pet peeve is making arrangements for marriage with his overweening island queen coming November. At least Wolfgang has finally decided to sell the lot so we can find some peace of mind. The question is, just how long can I endure this circus before I jump this sinking delusional ship in a rage. Still, I hope it all goes so far away that I can’t even hear the screams.

Hermes Trismegistus

I finally figured out where and how this myth found its way into European alchemy, namely Islamic texts from Anatolia over the course of the Crusades. In those days any effort to truly understand the cosmos faced severe scrutiny by the Papacy. Even in Renaissance times, the likes of Galileo, was regarded as violating the very dominion of the “supreme creator”. Hence “alchemy” in occidental terms was always considered a forbidden art. Naturally, those who ventured beyond those geographical boundaries, were much amazed by what they found. It can be said that sacred geometry formed an astrological and architectural basis on which Islam was built; seen as an integral part of their Babylonian heritage. That, along with the Judaic Kabbalah, had always been lacking in the Holy Roman mindset since Theodosius and the Nicene Creed. Especially after the extermination of the Albigensers and other Cathars, western alchemists were very reclusive, usually operating under the protection of influential nobles, if not in some remote cloister, until Hermeticism became an elitist trend over the course of the Renaissance. The practice itself, is pseudoepigraphical. That means conjured together out of relics and anecdotes along with visionary experiences, not necessarily having any real historical relevance.
It wasn’t until the advent of quantum physics and non-euclidean geometry, that scientists began to really understand the nature of causality. Nonetheless, it requires a sense of symmetry, that the average education system is still not likely to coordinate. Still, god-fearing ignorance puts a damper on this in many parts of the world, while others get blinded by the vanity of their own success. Somewhere between the two, Hermeticism still lives on as an elitist esoteric trend.

Sexual Orientation and the Alt-Right Media

By all standards, I’m an average European, despite having spent 15 years of my youth all over Canada. I was raised European, knowing we would return once Europe recovered from the war.

I never did fit into any pseudo-culture that aspires to call itself an ethnic melting pot because I found it too detached from the real diaspora that Europe is to this day. It’s not like I can identify with nationality as North Americans try to tokenize it, let alone, these divisions of liberal versus conservative. Europe is simply too complex for either to dominate without disastrous results. Politics is one thing, culture another. The latter is about heritage, custom and tradition, whereas politics attempts to maintain social ideals, although the question will always be; for whom and to what end?

What we call “Liberal” usually has to do with free enterprise, whereas conservatism usually refers to old school ethics, though not necessarily religious. Socialism is about the rights of labourers and the disadvantaged. It is a necessary element in maintaining integrity in a diaspora as densely populated as Europe. The American alt-right can’t seem to understand the consequences that would ensue by excluding any one of these elements. Nor is it a conspiracy theory that these populist movements were instigated by your supremacist factions for want of global dominance in countries whose languages you can neither speak or nor customs you neither understand. Family divided by war and greed, I grew up in a country that suffered the consequences of such single-minded populist ignorance. I know the rhetoric, so spare me from your alt-right propaganda. Gender is just a drop in the bucket of the real problems such fanaticism presents. Transgendering, gay marriage, abortion and unisex toilets are not issues here so kindly keep instigators like Steve Bannon and Nigel Farage to yourselves. I’m just simply sick of that polemic. It fails to understand that one size does not fit all.

Season of the Witch?

Is this a fashion statement or just some kind of identity crisis? All this fanfaring to profess what to whom? Believe me, there’s more to spaecraft than mojo in little bottles, scented candles and poppets. Things they’re not going to tell you in Llewicca, no matter if you buy the whole library...and unless you really know your biophysics, you can save all that blather about energies and grounding. Hell will freeze over before I’ll ever identify with any such labels of Christian superstitious hocum. I know the real story so spare me with your grimoires and sabbats and all that other stereotypical nonsense. This is neither role play nor a game. Like with any skill, too much talk is counter-productive, so keep your voice down and put all that annoying posturing into something useful. End of rant

Pseudologic Phantoms of the Past

Back in my youth there was little in the way of what I would really define as pagan literature. Just a lot of spin offs of Rosicrucianism and Dion Fortune style esoterica, conveniently misconstrued from a medley of quasi-Levantine tradition. My mother had an affinity for that stuff, but reading through it all, it became clear that the market thrived wholly on selling enigma like it was some kind of new drug. Just a carrot on a stick to work up an exotic sense of mystical euphoria to the point of wishful thinking. No surprise the scientific community opposed it all vehemently at the time. This in turn created a futile paradox between stoic non-believers and the religiously superstitious. I was never baptized nor raised on a religious pathos, so all that rhetoric made no sense to me. Conversely, there was never any doubt in the family that the line between consciousness and causality is tenuous. My psychic abilities were seriously out of control and all those conspicuous episodes of precognition had even the hardliners spooked. It would never occur to them that I simply have a broader sense of causality than most. I can recognize patterns in randomness that define specific outcomes. Unfortunately it took another two decades for the scientific community to come to that realization. Just the same, the all too Euclidean concepts of Wicca and the likes wasn’t the answer either. A friend of mine was high priest of an Alexandrian coven in the early 1970s. He tried to interest me in their practices, to work as a channeler. By that time word had got around about my psychic acumen although I would have much preferred anonymity. Things were just getting too dangerous, as it also caught the attention of some rather dark agency of mind control. Needless to say, I left the country and thus disappeared from that scene for a couple of years. It’s just as well because German folklore has quite a different attitude to the so-called paranormal, and nowhere as freaked out over it. In fact even Carl Jung covered it extensively in his recently published “Red Book”. This is more the stuff I was raised on and the odd hand-me-downs from a Welsh gran, just a bog-standard animist throughout the whole convoluted journey. Call it witchcraft if you like. I’d rather call it the butterfly effect.

Schisms

I’ve been watching this downwards spiral since 60 years now and it still confounds me. The endless laments of a crusading persecution complex; keeping a tally of all that did one wrong, but seldom accounting for their own undoing in the whole damned equation. Don’t ask me why he keeps obsessing in this; maybe for want of a mother he never had, or some bird with a broken wing for the love he never had, as if a sex change is really going to make it all better. That delusional quest for the promise land in some exotic location. Some people just have that need to run away from themselves.

As it is “justifiable cause” can be very subjective in the ideal world of too many double standards. Having always been exempt from any norms these try to dictate, I’ve seen more benefit in avoiding moral judgments, rather, calculating my moves to leave my opponents chasing spooks. I can’t be arsed by brooding over just how screwed up humanity is. As far as I’m concerned there’s no such a thing as a perfect world anyway and it’s not like I’m looking for retributions for a life I never had and couldn’t possibly have under the overwhelming circumstances. At this stage of the game I’m just glad to be alive, so save all that fanfaring sacrificial lamb idolatry for those seeking meaning among the “god-sent” millions that came before them.
